The journey to reentry can be incredibly challenging, especially for those who have faced incarceration, homelessness, addiction, and trauma. For many, the transition back into society feels impossible due to systemic barriers, societal stigma, and a lack of resources. However, we know that with the right support, individuals can overcome these challenges and build a brighter future.
Our founder, Stephanie Jeffcoat, knows this firsthand. After enduring a cycle of incarceration, addiction, homelessness, and personal trauma, she turned her pain into a driving force to advocate for meaningful change. Today, FIR4E is rooted in the belief that every person deserves a second chance and the opportunity to succeed.
At FIR4E, we offer a range of comprehensive services designed to support individuals as they navigate the reentry process. Our programs address key areas of need and focus on empowerment, sustainability, and community reintegration.
FIR4E was founded on the belief that the systems of mass incarceration and child welfare are deeply flawed. We are dedicated to amplifying the voices of those most affected, working to dismantle systemic barriers, and advocating for reforms in criminal justice and child welfare policy.
We envision a society where everyone, regardless of their past, has the opportunity to thrive. Our mission is to empower those who have been incarcerated by providing them with the tools, resources, and support they need to rebuild their lives, while also working toward larger systemic changes through advocacy, education, and civic engagement.
Reentry is not just a personal journey; it’s a collective one. When we support individuals in their efforts to reenter society, we are building stronger, more resilient communities. Together, we can create lasting change that extends beyond the individual to benefit families, neighborhoods, and society as a whole.
We invite you to join us in this critical work. Whether through donations, volunteering, or simply raising awareness, your support can help us empower those who need it most. Together, we can provide the second chances that everyone deserves.
